Guidance Needed: Building a Real-Time Digital Twin for a Variable Transmission System

Hello everyone,

I am working on a project involving a next-generation mechanical transmission system for wind turbines. I am interested in building a real-time digital twin to simulate its behavior under varying input conditions (e.g., fluctuating wind speeds) and to validate its control logic.

Could anyone point me to:

  1. Relevant starter models in the community library (e.g., for mechanical or electromechanical systems, or wind turbine drive trains)?
  2. Best practices for modeling a system with a variable transmission ratio in RT-LAB?
  3. Any tutorials or workflows that cover the integration of such a model with HIL testing?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
